A Canadian brand committed to community, purpose and sustainability

Bridgehead is a Canadian-owned business built around a community of hundreds of family farmers and tea pluckers, local baristas and bakers who are passionate about their craft. We were the first to bring Fairtrade coffee to Canada and we’re committed to bringing fairly traded coffee to Canadians in our coffeehouses, and through our e-commerce and grocery channels.

Our team of coffeehouse baristas, shift supervisors, managers, roasters, warehouse, and support staff believe in the power of coffee to build community, locally and globally. We honour the craft of producing, roasting and brewing coffee, and champion the industry, fair trade and strive to create a more sustainable coffee community.

Working at Bridgehead

"I love working at bridgehead – not only do I meet new people every day, but over the years I have gotten to know so many customers/regulars. Bridgehead's core values nurture this type of friendly environment. How we treat, listen and respect each other is important. Creating an environment within my store, where customers come and go, enjoy the simple pleasure of having a coffee, while enjoying each other's and our company, makes for a rewarding workplace!"

- Val Rambaldi, Coffeehouse Manager

"Bridgehead has been exactly what I needed to bring my career to the next level. The team here is incredibly supportive and encouraging, who are always willing to share their time and knowledge to help me grow and learn about the coffee process and farmers. Bridgehead has given me the opportunity to refine my skills and work on projects that I’m passionate about. "

- Olivia McEwen, Marketing and Community Specialist

"What stands out to me are Bridgehead’s values, and what we strive to represent and stand for. We genuinely value our relationships with our farmers and connecting on a personal level with them. It's easy to see them as nothing more than suppliers, but to Bridgehead, they mean so much more."

- Mike Trudel, Roastery Manager

"Bridgehead invests in its employee development, giving us opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. I started as a Barista and soon moved to supervisor before becoming a manager – all within less than 1 year! Bridgehead’s training program is well-structured and the coaching/assistance from all trainers have helped me develop a completely different career in management. Recently, I was able to add to that development my passion for teaching by becoming a training specialist. The connections that develop from the work are important to me – connections with the Bridgehead team and guests alike, and the care and attention the company puts in products, processes and training. "
